Wait a second.. how are we already in the last week of January?!? I’m not sure but here we are… In our final week of this month of Crafty New Year fun! This week we will be focusing on Mixed Media crafts.
What would classify as Mixed Media you ask?
Well the answer to that question is literally… anything and everything! Mixed Media art simply involves combining (mixing) different materials (media) to create a craft or piece of art.

So that could be painting, drawing or printing on a non-traditional surface, it could be collaging magazine cutouts and then painting over it or it could be sewing buttons to a canvas that you painted. It could be creating a sculpture out of wire and then wrapping it in yarn or it could be a mobile created from sticks with cardboard shapes dangling down.
See!? The possibilities are truly pretty limitless! This is one of my favorite types of art to do because there really are no “rules” to follow and just a whole lot of freedom for creativity and fun!
